ARCH 0368 COMPUTER APPLICATIONS II. Semester 1st and 2nd. Lab. 3, 3 credits hours. This course is a continuation of ARCH 0345 Computer Applications. Students learn to apply advanced computer programs including those for Building Information Modeling, 3D modeling and building performance analysis. Prerequisites: ARCH 0345 and Professional Program admittance.
The course objective is to learn the fundamental basics of the digital technology in architecture with an emphasis on design application. The course introduces students to the necessary drawings skills for beginning level competency in Revit, Autodesk AutoCAD, Photoshop and other programs from Adobe Creative Suite. The course focuses on the development of computer literacy, basic application commands, application specific techniques, terminology, and organizing principles of Revit.
The class will generally begin with either a lecture/discussion of content which left off at the last class. After each lesson or class session each student is required to work on their assignment rigorously until the end of Class if there aren’t any questions addressing the whole class. During this time I will provide individuals with assistants if needed.
